Hello everyone! I know this post might go unnoticed, but for those fortunate enough to click on it, prepare to be amazed! First things first, let me explain that this platform operates through the "NOSTR" protocol. I'm not affiliated with the website in ANY capacity, nor do I have any vested interests/investments; I simply adore the concept of Nostr and want to contribute to its growth by sharing with all of you. I'm sure some of you are wondering, "What is Nostr?" Nostr is a straightforward, open protocol that facilitates a globally accessible, decentralized, and censorship-resistant social media experience. I understand that it might take a few minutes to fully grasp, so here's a simplified explanation. You can access the Nostr protocol using a variety of apps, such as Amethyst (for Android users), Damus (for Apple users), Iris, Primial, Snort, and more (for PC). When you post on any of these apps, your content gets broadcasted across multiple relays. Once something is posted on Nostr, it becomes virtually undeletable/uncensorable. You can decide what relays you view and dramatically change your experience by turning off and on a few relays. For example, CIG could make a relay, give players a spot in their account to post their public npub keys and BAM. Suddenly if your connected to that relay, you will post and content from people connected to that relay will see it. No email is required, and you don't need to share any personal information. Just create a private key, follow some intriguing individuals like Michael Saylor, and you're ready to roll! And now to my main point of posting this post, there's a fresh website utilizing the Nostr protocol called "zap.stream" (that's the URL). Essentially, you can host your own live streams, link them to zap.stream, and suddenly, you'll have hundreds of viewers tuning into your live streams, complete with the option to tip you in Bitcoin (through the lightning network, a second layer for Bitcoin that enables nearly feeless microtransactions – we're talking transactions as low as 0.0001 cent). Zap.stream is still quite new (around two months old, I believe), but it has experienced significant growth already. Jack Dorsey, the creator of Twitter, has even endorsed the website on his personal Twitter feed. Personally, I've only come across two Star Citizen enthusiasts on Nostr.
