Hi, i joined a gaming community a few weeks ago for an other MMO. Liked the community very much. They are Older, more mature gamers and no drama! I thought. They are not big in Star Citizen, in matter of fact me and some other dudes asked to have a Star Citizen place inside the community. That was granted. The Community though is pretty big. 300+souls, spread out across multiple MMO, survival and single player games. Perfect community I thought. My kind of people. In chat I asked if they already have an Org in Star Citizen. No reaction for 24 hours of the community owner. I DM-ed her beginning this morning. But her dm is offline. Now I am 44, not always on and I do not know how to reach her to ask for advice of helping the community for SC besides general chat or dm. So I thought, I will make the Org. Cause the name could be reserved for us. The short version of their name and other variants were already taken. I have a really cool name reserved that resembles the community for like 99%. Their OG name is too long for the handle. As incredible happy as I was I posted it in their/our discord asking for help and what to do. And of course I was open for giving up my founder rank to someone more "senior" in the gaming community. Just wanted to help and in my enthusiasm I did what I did. I was ready to earn my stripes in this Organization and Gaming Community. I got instantly kicked out of the discord and MMO guilds. Now I have no way of "defending my actions that benefited the community" kind of post. Apparently the community owner has a whole company behind it and merch etc etc.. And one new member creating a guild in game is a no go. Her first go to is distrust someone doing that. And I am like super loyal, very enthusiastic and sometimes impulsive but always from a good heart. She is maybe mad at me, I am just disappointed that someone's go to is direct distrust and banning people. I am 44 old, too old for drama i thought, why would I want to do bad things to complete strangers who were nice to me and I to them? This is my "Lesson learned"-moment in Gaming Communities. Not gonna make the same mistake again. I am not perfect, I had to wait prob for more time to let her react to my chat asking for help, I though she read it as she was online and gaming. But again, it was all in good faith to help out, I was completely OK to give up founder rank. So what do I do now? I could: 1. Dissolve the Org and the great name. 2. Make a whole "Evil character Arc" for this Organization due to this "drama", cause the name is pretty cool and go into a PvP modus against their upcoming guild in Star Citizen when we do run in to each other. All for fun, no toxic gameplay, no harassing ingame or RL etc. All good stuff with just a touch of spice ingame. But how do you get relax/cool members for your Org. There are 94K Organizations. How to stand out? I dislike guild recruitment spam ingame, so not gonna do that. Anyone can help with idea's beside what I can think of. Still not sure to push through or just dissolve. Thanks, Gambit. #lessonswerelearnedtoday
