There was the SciFi show that I watched long ago. I think it was british and I think it was a series. I really like the episode I watched but, I have never been able to find it or the series again. I have no idea of the name of any of the actors so all I can do is describe the episode as best I can and hope someone reconizes it. So, here we go. Earth was at war with an alien race. The episode I saw revolved around the crew of a battleship/battle cruiser that "Felt" like it was the equivlant size of the Battlestar Galactica ship. The humans start out attacking an airstrip (i guess it would be a space port) on a mini-planet/asteroid. Space marines are dropped to attack and secure the port but meet heavy resistance. One of the officers on the battleship realizes that the enemy has over protected the port by pulling defences from a nearby planet. He equates this to a similar situation during world war II when the Japanese pulled defences from a major island to protect an airstrip. He convences the Admrial to abandon the smaller port and go after the bigger prize of the planet. This leaves the marines currently attacking the smaller port without backup. For the rest of the episode we follow a marine captain (?) and 3 troopers who were out of food and ammo and hiding from the aliens. Sound familiar to anyone? BubbaBob
