I'm a backer from 2014 with the humble Aurora MR starter package for back then 32 euros. That is the amount I was always prepared to lose if this project doesn't turn out. I've never pledged anything above that as I am immune to the FOMO tactics that keep pestering my email so I unsubscribed today. https://img-9gag-fun.9cache.com/photo/a1rL3vY_460s.jpg I want to earn things ingame. This video explains the tactics used in "modern" game development to hook people to spend more than they should or can afford. Let’s go whaling: Tricks for monetising mobile game players with free-to-play https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xNjI03CGkb4 I very much enjoy visiting the wonderful landing locations that the art team has created, Orison looks like it came out of a dream. :slightly_smiling_face: I don't like where the game design is heading with the full pvp loot drop and all the new features only add tedious time sinks instead of fun and engaging gameplay. I abandoned all together fps missions and only did bounties with my favourite fighter, Avenger Titan FTW, you have a spawn point at a LEO station, spawn fighter do bounties, if you do explode for some reason, you can get back in a short amount of time. You upgrade your ship with new components as you go and you can feel the progression and improvement in the combat which feels really satisfying. The last straw was when I managed to grind to 900k and wanted to rent a Freelancer for 3 days on Friday to use over the weekend as I was gunning that to be my next ingame ship but for some stupid reason the game took away 600k for a 30 day rental, it said all the time 3 days while clicking the options but it took away 600k for 30 days rental. OMG this game, I want to enjoy it but it fights back so hard. I rage quited after that and haven't booted up Star Citizen since. Star Citizen has motivated me to upgrade to a brand new PC that I built with my own 2 hands and I'm pretty proud of it, 1000 euro investment well spent instead of buying SC ships. I'm enjoying and having loads of fun playing other games. Ghosts of Tsushima is comming on PC finally on 8th of February? I wish you all the best and maybe someday in year 2042 I might finally play SQ42. LooneyVille over and out.
