Naturally, the answer is no! Right? If you are happy with a ship, you'll have more fun, and tell all your friends about your amazing ship in this amazing game. What happens if you are unhappy with your ship? Well, let's look why you would possibly be unhappy: It's in concept, it's just a pretty picture. And might be for years and years to come. It's bugged, or missing an important feature It got balanced! But now they're all out of time and resources to finish that. Well, I'm super sad to hear about your ship, but don't you worry, we've got solutions to your issue: 1- MELT IT! This comes with a few drawbacks though: Your concept or ship might increase in price. (EDIT: Only CCU's increase in price apparently, original concepts should remain the same price. thanks to Pojodan on reddit for clarifying this.) CCU's can't be bought back once applied, so you're giving up on it until next year possibly. Finding a ship you like, cheaper than the one you have might be hard, especially since not all ships are on sale all the time. Don't like these drawbacks? Worry not, we've got alternative options! 2- CCU: UPGRADE IT! The CCU issue applies. Really limited selection, depending on how much extra you are willing to invest and the timing of the sales. Feels a little bad to financially reward CIG for your current ship not making you happy. Of course, if money is not an issue, there is a very easy solution that negates most of the drawbacks of these two options: 3- BUY A NEW SHIP! I'd hate to miss out on LTI, BETTER BUY A TOKEN! I'd hate to miss out on LTI, BETTER BUY A CONCEPT. Starts the cycle anew. Sadly enough a situation has been created where being unhappy with your ships current status invites you to throw more money at the game. This is made worse with artificially limiting availability, LTI or the lack of it, buyback being changed to increase in price. And other factors. Also, an absolute lack of communication, and lack of reliability of what is communicated in regards to what ships will get made/fixed/ have their gameplay loop implemented makes it hard to decide whether to leave a chunk of money invested in a ship that might not see the light of day for years to come. I'm not claiming this is done on purpose. But if it was, I'd consider it immoral. I think a lot of people have a lot of passion and love for Star Citizen, and would happily support the project, financially. But the current system makes it feel unpleasant. The record high numbers in pledged money don't lie, this approach is effective. Are you happy with your ships? Do you think these are unfortunate circumstances that developed on accident, and that CIG is doing the best they can in the current situation? Or do you believe it might be designed, but that it is good, as it leads to more funding and thus benefiting the success chance of the project? If you could change things, what would you change? I'd love for us to discuss this, but keep it civil, discuss arguments on their merits rather than what you think of the person that wrote them. TLDR: You are lazy good sir or madam. Also, if you are just here to post that you do not care, or that you think I'm deeply flawed and silly, you are also more then welcome to do so, the tax will be one entertaining GIF. p.s. John Crewe, if you are reading this, please don't dismiss it as another "WHEN IS MY SHIP READY" It is a very derailed way of me telling you I'm upset there is no working coffee machine in my Carrack.
