They call it Wizzy Modes! You'll start off in Edit mode where your cursor can only move one letter at a time no matter what you do. If you accidentally click your mouse somewhere, it will still only move you one character. This will prevent so many errors that people have complained about! No more accidentally moving to the next line. While editing a document, you're locked on the current page and your scroll bar is artificially limited to let you have precise control over your cursor placement! You can even activate a special Precision Typing mode where the screen will zoom in to only show you the sentence you are typing. While in Edit mode, we didn't want you to accidentally lose your place and flip to the next page so we artificially limited it to only show you one page at a time. We think this is a better way to use Word and It prevents people from getting lost. While in Edit mode you also have sub modes. You can go into Heading mode if you want to write a heading, Paragraph mode for writing the meat and potatoes of your document, and last but not least is Emphasis mode for those times when you need to bold or underline text. When you are done editing, you can simply hit Alt-B and be put into Paging mode. (Toggling back to Edit mode can also be done with this same keypress.) There will be a short loading bar just to make sure you want to switch. Paging mode allows you to move on to the next page! While in Paging mode, the mouse acceleration is turned way up so you can zip all around the document with ease. If you'd like to stop all the sudden, you can simply hit the N key and the sheet will immediately stop. When you're all done with your document, you can easily zip back up to the top of the document when you are done by using Paging mode and there you may save, print, or close the document. We don't recommend that you close the document mid paragraph or you could lose some of your content. Microsoft thinks this new way of working in Word will open up so many opportunities and shed new light on computing in general!
