So today I had one of those deep sigh, soul-staring moments. June 22, 2015 — that's when I enlisted into the ‘verse. That’s a full decade of alpha testing. Ten years of bugs, resets, broken mechanics, crashes, reworks, more crashes, missing MobiGlas, floating coffee mugs, ghost ships, and yes—hovering boxes that require a master’s degree in quantum physics to deliver. I’ve pledged well over $10,000 to this game. I’m not even mad about that part. I knew what I was signing up for. I just figured, maybe—just maybe—after 10 years of loyal bug-catching and live-service masochism, I might get something more than radio silence. Not even a digital handshake. Not even a free hangar Nerf gun to pop off at my own disappointment. Instead, my "reward" is watching newer accounts get shinier perks, and I get a faint whisper of regret every time I load into Area18 and fall through the stairs. Again. It’s not that I want a medal (though I wouldn’t say no to a flashy jacket that says “I Survived Alpha and All I Got Was This Glitchy Flight Suit”), but damn… a little acknowledgment wouldn’t hurt. To the devs reading this: throw us a bone. Or at least a foam dart gun.
