Hey commanders, After an absolute grind of a week at work, I decided on a whim to reinstall the space sim. I haven't touched the game in 10 years, so I fully expected to run into missing items, broken account linkings, or at least a mountain of head-scratching catch-up work. I couldn't have been more wrong. The moment I logged in, everything from a decade ago was right where I left it. All 12 of my ships were safely docked in my garage, every single one of my 15 billion credits was intact, and all my stored modules scattered across the galaxy transferred right over to my local station without a hitch. I even had cargo in several of the ships' bays that I totally forgot about. I jumped straight in for a 4-hour session, and the gameplay experience was ridiculously smooth: Zero friction navigation: Landing at starports and surface outposts was instant—no waiting around for docking cues or dealing with weird queue glitches. Seamless missions: I took on a mix of space and on-foot missions; every objective updated seamlessly, target markers worked, and payouts felt genuinely worth the time. Mining & Exploration: Flew down to planetary surfaces to gather minerals, then dipped into an asteroid field for some old-school mining. Flawless Co-op: Joined up with a few new friends online, shared missions, and flew wing without a single connection drop or instancing nightmare. Not a single crash, frame dip, or hiccup the entire time. I completely lost track of time and forgot about the stressful work week. It's so rare these days to jump into a massive sci-fi sandbox that respects your time and your progression. It felt incredible to pick up right where I left off a decade ago and just enjoy flying.
