I had planned upgrading my current PC, but I'm definitely not now considering the card I wanted is topping $1,300, from an MSRP of $700. It's disappointing that a year full of the best hardware news in a decade, follows with one that will see the availability and pricing of both memory and GPUs beyond what most can afford or are willing to pay. What's worse is that both conditions which are believed to be causing the price hikes, show no signs of dissipating any time soon. 2018 is going to be a rough year for those looking to upgrade, not to mention those trying to join the master race.
