I did a quick search, I am surprised the topic of Space Above and Beyond never came up. It also means I am dating myself and showing my age. Anyways It was basically a Wing Commander rip off TV show in the mid-90s, but the UEE ship design of Star Citizen rhymes with S:AaB. The main human fighter from the show, the Hammerhead, looks a lot like the Gladius and Buccaneer had a bastard child. Ironically enough, the pre-rendered CGI of the 90s looks worse than today's in game play of Star Citizen.
