Who else has seen some of the episode so far? I'd like to hear opinions of Old Trek fans (I count TOS, TNG, DS9, VOY, ENT, and the movies of those into that). From the looks of it, it's an attempt to cater to the Trek fans of the older series, by focusing more on stories that involve mystery, exploration, and diplomacy instead of tons of action and what I've seen described as "disaster porn", using an episodic format where stories are mainly contained within a single episode. Of course I can't exactly say where it's going after just the first 4 episodes. But for those who dislike New Trek for similar reasons as I do, namely the lack of mystery and exploration, while focusing too much on mindless action and special effects, it might be worth checking out if you're already subscribed to a service where it's available.
