Just saw the announcement that for the first time ever, one of my favorite television shows, Doctor Who, is about to introduce its first ever female lead in the role of the doctor. The 13th doctor is Jodie Whittaker. I don't know much about her, but I do remember her from Attack the Block. I enjoyed her performance there. I think it's exciting that there is going to be a female doctor for the first time on the show. I do seem to remember, could be wrong, one of the doctors mentioning that he was a woman once, but I'm sure that was outside of the series. Likely sometime before any of the doctors we knew.
