So is anyone else watching this? At first I was kind of skeptical, I figured would be good for a few laughs and nothing more. But I'll be damned if they aren't doing some amazing things and truly doing some good sci fi. For me, sci fi is at it's best when it truly explores the human condition through the lens of another society. Us humans feel much more comfortable correcting or looking at flaws in others, rather than ourselves. It's partially why Star Trek has endured for so long. The Orville is, I feel, continuing that tradition. Although the society portrayed is very much less sterile and high minded than Star Trek. It feels more... "lived in", to me. If you haven't checked it out yet, I highly recommend.
