I just noticed this via a Youtube video and since I learned there are quite many color-blind people in general and here, too, I thought I'd share that, although I guess color-blind people might already be very aware of it. Dunno, sometimes information just doesn't flow, so tell me how widespread awareness is about these and how much they actually do. I'd assume very much that they can only work with what's there and not use some weird polarization tech, but that they enhance contrast differences in order to help distinction of colors that usually aren't distinguishable, which is of course possible since they have been designed with awareness of the full color spectrum and how to alter it. Are those even any better than typical color-blind mode settings in games (I've seen it in World of Warcraft) or pretty much the same? They also look like they are reducing light intensity a lot, like sunglasses. Which reminds me of pinhole glasses that correct far-/near-sightedness which do the same. (I actually own some.) https://enchroma.com/pages/technology And here's me with my pinhole glasses, which correct any degree of near- or far-sightedness up to a certain level and help the eyes compensate naturally instead of promoting a vicious cycle where they get increasingly lazy, and they also keep the eyes active and thus the muscles agile. Takes getting used to but then is great as long as light conditions are good and you don't have to drive a car or something. For challenging uses like on the PC I prefer deliberately weak regular glasses so that my eyes have an incentive to do the rest.
