I just realized this 44 years late... how the HELL did the Millennium Falcon manage to swoop in right over the Death Star exhaust port and shoot down into the trench to kill Tie fighters, when all the other ships had to fly along the trench to get underneath the shielding? It's bothering me now,... it's almost like Star Wars doesn't make any sense!...
