Star Citizen has always seemed to be about the people creating the game and the citizens who support them along the way. It would be fitting to have a memorial wall / obelisk, garden or cemetery? somewhere in the verse to honor all the people who are no longer with us, people who didn't get to see the realization of the dream but who believed in it and always supported. As games continue to become more and more about community, this is a good way to show the community that we are all in this together. Community based gaming is the future and Star Citizen has lead the way in this aspect of gaming. Star Citizen has the best community I've ever seen. I believe that memorializing your backers and have them be a part of the great game CIG - RSI is creating is another step to leading other community based games. Here are some examples of other games doing it: Games like Warframe: https://twitter.com/octipuff/status/1587853343631839239 Ubisoft: https://ekgaming.com/2017/08/24/ubisofts-tribute-to-a-fallen-player/ Eve Online: https://www.eveonline.com/news/view/tribute-to-the-fallen "Yeah, that would be cool, in EVE someone created a cemetery ingame, a control tower, where around it you yettison a box into space and name it. Burried virtually my grandparents there. CCP made it, that they never can despawn in a certain radius around it. First it was just for people who just left the game. After a while, people started to create boxes with the names of loved ones who died in Real Life, corp colleagues who died in Real Life or pets. I would love something like that for Star Citizen as well." I hope you consider this Chris Roberts, CIG, RSI, and thank you for building such an amazing community and letting us meet some of the best people. https://www.change.org/p/a-place-for-all-fallen-citizens?recruiter=1284210785&recruited_by_id=0ace77c0-5c6c-11ed-96f0-cdd1b0a0da46&utm_source=share_petition&utm_campaign=share_for_starters_page&utm_medium=copylink
