So I know when the Sabre was first released it's status as an accepted UEE Navy ship was still up in the air. However it's been almost a decade since the ship was submitted to the UEE Navy and the lore still reads that it has yet to be accepted. However we see a Sabre flying with Squadron 42 in the Prologue, which notably takes place the same year as the Sabre's creation. While I know canonically that Squadron 42 is a special case, getting experimental and highly customizable ships at their request, it is odd for the Sabre to be locked into bureaucratic limbo for 10 years while the Empire is locked in a desperate war against the Vanduul. I would gather that even if the Sabre flown by a particular pilot of the 42nd Squadron there would still need to be some kind of logistics train to support the replacement parts for the ship which sounds rather expensive, even for an elite pilot of SQ 42. With additional space frame versions of the ship being produced I wonder what is the status of the Sabre and its variations in terms of service with the UEE Navy. Is it an official part of the UEE Navy? If so do we know it's designation (eg Hornet F7A, Gladius P5G, etc)?
