Something I don't understand is this ideology that a small single seat fighter can take out a medium/large ship. Is this by design or something that is expected to change as more systems come online? Because, logically speaking, small to light fighters shouldn't stand a chance against medium/large combat vessels. The amount of armor and shielding a larger combat ship has available should deter most single seat fighters alone, as there should be no way for them to even bring the shields down. Not to mention the amount of PDC support these ships should have, along side manned and other remote turret support. A swarm of fighters is a different story, but that requires some planning and organization, which should be rewarded. But a single fighter against a Polaris, just for example, should have .00001% chance at doing anything at all. Currently it feels like a single light fighter can dominate the skies. While larger combat ships are basically useless and just easy to kill targets for fighters. Which just doesn't feel right. What is going to change this meta?
