Dear CIG Team, I have been a passionate supporter of Star Citizen for many years, invested not only financially but emotionally in the dream of what this game could become. However, I am increasingly frustrated and disheartened by what CIG considers "progress." For example, the recent introduction of Master Modes has, in my view, worsened the gameplay experience. The combat has become overly arcade-like, stripping away the depth and skill that many of us valued. Flight and cruising mechanics have also suffered; the game punishes players too harshly, such as exploding ships simply for flying too close to the ground. These changes are not progress—they feel like steps backward. Furthermore, the current state of Alpha 3.24 is concerning. Custom hangars, freight elevators, and item banks are a mess, reflecting a lack of polish and reliability that we've been experiencing more frequently. It’s disheartening to see these issues persist, as they detract from the core experience that we all hoped Star Citizen would deliver. Last year at CitizenCon, CIG mentioned that they would move teams from Squadron 42 to Star Citizen to create major progress. However, since then, we have only seen one patch released, and it contained the problematic Master Modes. This is far from the "major progress" we were promised, and it leaves many of us wondering what is actually being done to advance the game's development. I want to see this game succeed. I truly do. However, I can't help but feel that CIG is not being fully transparent with us. The Pyro system has been teased for over eight years, and yet, there's no clear timeline for the release of Alpha 4.0. Instead, it feels like CIG's primary focus is on creating new ships to sell, rather than delivering on the promises made to backers. I've seen the concerns of players and content creators on YouTube, and it feels like Star Citizen is now at its lowest point. Many players are selling their accounts, while others have stopped playing altogether and never looked back. This is a worrying trend that reflects the growing discontent within the community. The lack of meaningful progress and the apparent priority on monetization over actual game development make me genuinely worried about the future of this project. At this rate, there is a very real possibility that Star Citizen might never become the game we were all promised, and that is both frustrating and heartbreaking. I urge you to take these concerns seriously. We, the backers, are not just customers but also believers in the vision that was sold to us. We deserve transparency, accountability, and, most importantly, a game that lives up to its potential. Thank you for taking the time to read my feedback. I hope that CIG can refocus its efforts and deliver the game we all want to see. Here is my fan made trailer: https://youtu.be/JofgGiENVNw?si=LK5Fudpp0Do33ROH
