I am consistently having this problem with all versions of the 3.18 PTU. Sometimes it is a few to several minutes after logging in, and sometimes it’s a few seconds. I’ve tried everything from turning off any game-boosting settings in the BIOS and Nvidia GPU, to deleting and reinstalling the entire Star Citizen file suite Including the launcher. I’ve submitted crash reports every single time except for the 5-6 times the crash report software didn’t load. My friend said I should ask @Silvan-CIG because he might have some ideas or know who to ask. I’ve been around since the beginning and I’ve had 3 different PC builds since then, and this is the first time I’ve ever had an issue like this. I’m hoping it’s just something on CIG’s end so I know it will be fixed eventually, but I’m worried it’s something on my end and I’m going to miss out on all the fun when 3.18 goes live. If anyone at CIG can help I would really appreciate it! Thank you so much! PS: is SiIvan a reference to Peter Hamilton’s Commonwealth book series? EDIT: I cleared my CMOS, installed 2 new RAM sticks to replace my older ones, and did a fresh install of Windows 10. I also went into the BIOS and set my speed to 3600 to match the new sticks (I did find out that previously, my default was set to 2133, but the old sticks I had installed were 2666), and I also enabled XMP in the memory settings. My friend who also has an MSI x470 board told me I should do this as well. One of these things definitely fixed the issue. I have been playing all day on the PTU without a single crash to desktop. I actually stay in long enough to enjoy the 30ks!
