Look at the attached picture comparing the size 7 laser cannons and ballistic guns. You handicapped the goddamn Ion the closest size 7 gun has at least 50 RPM while the Ion has have no capital ships to fight against. I know that many of you will respond to this saying that you can work through the bounties and get the hammerhead mission or the terrapin missions but whats the point of having a ship thats only good in the end game. When this ship was in the ptu it was balanced give it the same fire rate and ammo capacity as in the PTU. Edit 1 What i mean is that both Crusader Star Fighters were designed as capital ship killer so then both of them should be slightly similar in terms of fire rate and firepower. What ended up happening is that the Inferno got a high fire rate gun with decent damage which is quite good for dog fighting and the Ion actually ended as the only capital ship destroyer due to its fire rate and fire power, so they kinda need to be balanced to be in similar terms either both be capital killers or both be quite decent at dogfighting.
