Hey CIG team and fellow Citizens, First, let me say the Origin 600i has been my absolute favorite ship since the moment I set eyes on it. It’s a masterpiece of design and elegance, and I’ve spent countless hours flying it, admiring its beauty, and showing it off to my friends. With the planned rework now on the horizon, I’m beyond excited to see how you’ll elevate this incredible ship even further. However, I can’t ignore a few seriously frustrating issues that make the 600i experience… well, less than luxurious. These bugs are immersion-breaking at best and downright gamebreaking at worst. I’ve attached a video showing all the problems I’m about to describe, but here’s a detailed breakdown: 1.Weird Bubble Texture on Elevator Screen Whenever I use the elevator, the screen displays a bizarre “bubble” texture that looks completely out of place. I’m not sure if it’s a shader issue or something else, but it’s jarring in an otherwise pristine luxury ship. Please give the elevator screens the love they deserve. It’s a small detail, but in a ship like this, small details matter. 2. Missing Textures Through Glass Doors When you’re looking through the glass doors in certain areas, textures on the other side just… vanish. It’s like I’m staring into the void where a luxury lounge or hallway should be. This one really kills the immersion. For a ship that’s meant to scream “premium,” this visual bug is doing it no favors. 3. Massive FPS Drops from Generic MFDs in the Pilot Seat The new generic MFDs on the pilot’s console are tanking my FPS hard when I look at them. I’m not talking about a minor drop; it’s a significant hit to performance that makes piloting the 600i feel clunky and sluggish. Optimizing these MFDs needs to be a priority. Performance issues like this can make or break a ship’s usability, especially for those of us who love the 600i for long hauls. 4. Missing Collision in the Elevator Shaft This is the most serious issue by far. There’s a glaring lack of collision in the elevator shaft, which means if you or any cargo falls in, you’re gone. Completely gone. This isn’t just inconvenient—it’s gamebreaking. The elevator system is central to the 600i’s design, and having such a critical element compromised is really disappointing. I completely understand that the 600i is set to receive a rework, and I can’t wait to see what’s in store. But these issues are impacting the ship right now and make it tough to fully enjoy one of Star Citizen’s most iconic vessels. If it’s possible, could these problems be addressed as part of a smaller patch before the big rework? It would mean the world to those of us who adore the 600i and want to keep flying it in its current form without running into these constant frustrations. Thanks for all the incredible work you’re doing. I know a project of this scale comes with its challenges, and I’m excited to see Star Citizen continue to evolve. Here’s hoping we can restore the 600i to its rightful place as the pinnacle of luxury in the ‘verse! Cheers, ExcelsiorOne P.S. The attached video will walk you through all the issues in detail. Let me know if you need any more info or if there’s anything I can do to help troubleshoot. All the Issue council tickets are created long time ago. https://youtu.be/ZNEM93mIU7U
