As I don't have the time (read, patients) to comb through all the lighting questions for the DEVS, may I ask one question here (if any of them actually read any of these...)? Since every ship in this game (at least for now as far as I can tell) lands vertically, why are there NO landing lights facing the ground (-y axis lighting). The too dim lighting supplied by the running lights (which the pilot should have the option to turn off by the way) provides little to no comfort while working in the dark. Even Alien(tm) had downward facing lighting on the Nostromo(c) while landing. Could you imagine if it didn't? I realize I'm talking about a movie, but the fact remains. Even real-world helicopters have lights facing the ground...why not SC? This is not an opinion...this is a straight forward question.
