Hey there! Jaeih here. I dont usually post in Spectrum, but I really do want to chime in about the latest balancing post. I really appreciate the attempt to rebalance the ships in Star Citizen. There is some great stuff there! The additional shield generators for the Prowler are great, I love that the Gladiator got some work and that ship components in general are adressed again. But I do have to say: The nerf for the Aegis Redeemer does not make sense to me. For a ship with a much higher price point and the requirement of at least three people to man it effectively, the ship will now underperform even harder. Out in the wild, the Redeemer already was a big, immobile target. The turrets on her made the ship at least somewhat dangerous to some targets (not all, but some). Now, after the nerfs, this expensive ship, that still requires at least three people to effectively use it, will be completely outperformed by the much, much cheaper Constellation series and Corsair. Not only do these ships have more firepower, they are cheaper and require less manpower. Please ship team, reconsider this nerf. No amount of agility will make the Redeemer viable in any form of combat under these circumstances. I can somewhat understand the nerf in shields, but reducing the turrets from S5 to S4 will kill this ship. Yes, the turret capacitors are still large, but they should be. That's one of the reasons to make turrets appealing. Havin a ship manned with 3 people should be dangerous. And not be easily countered by a single Constellation. Some of the upcoming component changes are great. And I love to see some ships being useful again. Of course, no ship should just be bought for the reason of being "meta" in an alpha. I love this game and I love the project. But please, do reconsider your balancing attempt for the Redeemer. I know, there is likely a lot of toxicity already about this, but the criticism about the redeemer nerf is not just "the usual people crying about 'devman bad' ".
