I know the game is "too easy" and every good game is about balancing reward vs risk, but it seems like we're headed down a path where the best move to play Star Citizen is... not to play. I already look at my launcher every day and wonder if I have the hour it takes to get a few missions done, or can't step away from my desk for 5 minutes because auto disconnect will make me lose all of my cargo. This game feels like it has no appreciation for our time, like it doesn't understand what is fun versus what is thrilling. Don't get me wrong: I have a lot of fun playing when things line up. But it's only when things align, or I've done some prescribed "sandbox" activity with very specific steps to follow like Stormbreaker or Yormandi. I'm not expecting to boot up the game and queue for a dungeon and get a big box of goodies and weapon skins after 15 minutes of face roll; I know that's not what this game is about. But what is this game about instead? Making people lose components permanently by just... flying around? By just engaging in combat? Using my quantum drive? Have you considered adding MORE incentives for people to just play, instead of layering incentives to stick to my hangar? The roadmap is filled with risk and time sinks, but it's starting to look pretty barren for carrots instead of sticks.
