Ok so I just got done playing the game for a few hours and noticed that my frame rate is far to terrible to be able to put up any type of fight in my ship. I responded to a distress call and literally felt like an idiot for even trying because I'm getting about 5 frames per second on lowest settings. (i've put a lot of time into maximizing game performance for years now. I even started the game up with firewall and antivirus turned off just to see) Will the devs ever release some sort of graphics down grade that players can turn on to increase fps? I don't care if it my textures and models look terrible as long as my fps is above 100. I've already set everything to as low as possible in the settings but im still getting 1-20 fps especially around asteroids its incredibly frustrating. I routinely quit games when I cant get at least 100 frames per seconds because it's just not playable and is detrimental to my skill level. I need extremely quick response times to be able to play a game as intended and I'm just hoping that this game isn't intended to be only for people with super computers and will also cater to people with regular gaming PCs. I wish my computer was god enough to get 144 fps min with high graphics lol but that just isnt going to happen so I have grown accustomed to getting 100 fps on lowest settings but I think that if you guys wanted to you could get our fps up to above 144 at the cost of all of the nice graphics (I'm sure many would be happier with better fps than graphics in all honesty and also the game wouldn't lose any immersion because it would still be the same game in fact i think increased fps would increase the immersion because you would actually be able to play the game and get into some real hard core battles. )
