If a player has a single account it means they only have one character. If a player has ten accounts then they have 10 characters. The only thing stopping them from having five of ten or eight of ten fully kitted grief accounts is how much money they've decided to spend on ships and UEC. Developers have NEVER in the history of gaming outwitted the lengths players will go to to game a system. It's not cynicism for me to doubt your ability to combat this behavior. It's just how it is. Unfortunately, it's also baked into your monetization. Why not do multiple characters per account to at least avoid this? At least a player could then hop on another character and avoid that area. What is the plan for laws as deterrents in this sim that's supposed to be somewhat realistic but also has to take game design measures outside of lore to keep people playing in the spirit of the game? What's the planned prison sentence for murder in the year 29XX in a corporate system? Why does a guy with TEN accounts have to care when he's got NINE more fully equipped trolls? I'd really love to hear some of the ideas FOR ACTUAL GAME LAWS/OUTSIDE OF GAME ENFORCEMENT you guys have come up with after all these years for combatting players who have been abusing mechanics in online games for over 20 years and are still undefeated. My one suggestion for an out of game, partial solution is multiple characters per account. Most MMO or online games of this broad swath of the genre allow for this. Would also make sense lorewise that my SINGLE character isn't a miner, salvager, refuel pilot, bounty hunter, capital ship captain, dog fighter, trader, and hauler.
