I have been gaming on a PC since it was something that was possible. There have been many "normal" ways to setup default keys over that time, with WASD being the one that seems to have stuck. 1 thing that was always true though - I can bind my keys ANY way I want. A major one for me is Mouse2. I use it for moving forward in all FPS games (yes I know, but I have done so for 30+ years and I'm not changing!) Why in hell have your teams started hard-coding it to functions??? Even if I change it in the insane mess of bindings and remove all reference to it, still it performs functions I have not set. I don't want to rebind SOME keys, I want to rebind ANY key to whatever works for me. At the moment in PU, holding something like a bottle, box etc instantly changes mouse 2 to a secondary action. It is not possible to remove this binding (even by editing the actionmaps.xml). WHY? PTU now changes other things to this same hardcoded format, like using a handheld tractor beam. STOP HARD-CODING KEYBINDS!!! You are forcing people to play the way YOU want. There is no need to EVER hardcode a control in a PC game, just add the damn entry to your var file, give it a default and let the user decide from there. Cmon CIG, you are better than this. This is crap console port levels of simple.
