As it is now the pitch and yaw aswell as the roll axis in decoupled mode "counteract" the thrustinput , stopping the turn /roll ,when you let go of it whereas in "real" decoupled mode a roll or pitch movmenent started would go on indefinetly until actively countered by the pilots input . Have you thought about giving the pilots the options to fly their ships in space that way? What was the reason why it doesn´t work that way already and we got a hybrid decoupled-coupled flight mode where the strafe and throttle axis work as "real" decoupled and the turn axis are still coupled . EDIT : 04.12.22 for me it´s about having options and the most granular control over our spaceship , to turn off and on assistance like i please , the gravitation assist with landing gear out is somthing that i should have mentioned too, a on /off button for all those would be so cool, like you have coupled mode, as standard with all assists ON and then you can untick boxes until you fly without any asisstance .This could be done via MFD´s where maybe even 2 or 3 player made presets are bindable directly to buttons (or just like it is now if that´s too much hussle ) the list would be : a toggle in Mfd´s for every axis coupled on/off as a single option a toggle for rotational axis coupled on/off a toggle for strafe axis coupled on /off a toggle for gravity assitance on/off (or just add a trim function) ESP toggle ofc it would be great to get this deep control over how our ships behave ,if someone feels comfortable using them or not is up to them to decide ,for someone who just wants to keep flying in coupled and is fine with that ,nothing would change but all the people who feel a bit on a leach right now it would give them a lot to play around with. I´m all in for more options and deeper control of our ships and that isn´t just reduced to flight behaviour but also would include finer control over all ship systems like shields, weapons, power distribution all that fuzz. It´ll be much more fun to fiddle around , and you can always keep a default behaviour/mode in front of all the finecontrol options for those who don´t want to go that deep.
