Okay, full story. Upgraded my PC about 3 days prior to posting this (will post specs below). After the build I had major issues with crashes, freezes, no bootup, and overall performance; Star Citizen did not cause this I was doing benchmarks and running tests across the board with plenty of software and games. After a lot of googaling later and most of the issues were sorted. However, I still had major performance issues. For instance, I was only able to get ~70fps on CSGO (really weird considering PC specs below). Strange thing, I was getting 70-80 fps average in Star Citizen (which is a major upgrade compared to previous PC). Eventually, after a lot more googalooing, I decided to disable the on board graphics in the BIOS completely, it had been set to auto. The change: CSGO fps goes over 400 (not 9000) along with stable and good performance across all other systems. Here's the kicker: Star Citizen now only does 60 - 70 fps... I have no idea why this is. Was wondering if this was simply a freak of nature incident or might be worth investigating. Also, I've had the game set to Medium settings, I like to be able to actually play the game I am in. Still gorgeous though. For some reason Telemetry on RobertsSpaceIndustries.com has not updated my specs yet so I will post them here: MB: Gigabyte Aorus Master Z390 CPU: Intel i9 9900K overclocked to run at 4.7GHz RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16GB 3200MHz GPU: ASUS GTX 1080 Turbo 8GB Display: 144Hz Screen @ 1920x1080px Install: WesternDigital SN550 1TB NVMe
