I’m curious as to the current status of “hovers” as described in the writer’s guide several years ago: https://robertsspaceindustries.com/comm-link/spectrum-dispatch/13011-Writers-Guide-Part-Nine Beyond the flying bus on ArcCorp, are there plans for expanding the scope? Will there be hover taxis or other smaller NPC hovers/flying cars? Will these allow for more direct point to point transport? Will there be pick-up and drop-off points in public urban areas (such as Area 18)? Will there be pick-up and drop-off points incorporated into buildings (mission or player specific)? Might these be faster, paid alternatives to the free rail/bus transportation we see currently? Will some missions provide hover transport to a specific meeting point? (For example, Twitch Pacheco has an associate pick you up from Area 18 and take you directly to the mission-specific ship instead of having to ride to the spaceport and fly your ship to the mission-specific ship) Will NPC-controlled hovers always be autonomous, or will we see NPC “drivers” controlling them? Will there be player-owned hovers? What level of control will players have? Will there be virtual roadways in the sky? (The writer’s guide mentions traffic planes) What altitude limitations would exist? Where/how will they be stored? Apartments with garages? Ability to fly them directly to a spaceport hangar and load directly onto certain ships? Will they be usable in space? (The writer’s guide specifically refers to them as “air-based” but I figured I would ask) Are there plans for future concept sales? Aesthetically, will hovers resemble flying versions of ground transportation (sci fi flying cars), or will they look like mini-ships/planes? Are hover bikes (Nox, Dragonfly, etc.) considered hovers or are they in a class of their own?
