0.3.4a launched this morning, and I believe that this is the first iteration update, going from .3 to .4, since joining Spectrum after the old forum closure and resulting migration... as such I have not experienced once before... I am getting "thread update" notifications from 11 days ago but nothing more recent, and they have already been seen, these are false notifications... And threads I have deleted after creating incorrectly and starting again are showing in the forum categories again but without titles... And when trying to reply to my deleted threads it says "You can't - this thread has been deleted". And ALL of my bookmarks are reporting new posts when there are no new posts... I have screen-shots if you require them. The above is just feedback, which you are going to get in droves this morning... so to the meat of my question: We had a forum that was not in Alpha. It was not even in Beta. It was the only part of my Star Citizen experience which was solid and firm and had all the functions I needed and didn't bug-out and just worked because it was not under development, it was mature, it was the stable foundation for the Star Citizen backers which created a mature and active and engaged community, it was an complete communication tool rather than tool that needs communication to be completed. I accept Spectrum is in Alpha, there is nothing we can do about that and the old stable forum is gone. So my questions: How many iterations (and potential bug-outs) should we expect to have? Please provide a number, ballpark estimate is fine. How long should we expect Spectrum to be in Alpha? Please provide time in years and/or months, ballpark estimate is fine. How long should we expect Spectrum to be in Beta? Please provide a time, in years and/or months, ballpark estimate is fine. Were you aware of the bugs reported above prior to launching 0.3.4a and could this happen again potentially with every iteration? Please explain your response to someone who has no idea about the development process or how software testing works. Thank you for taking the time to read this post, I look forward to your response.
