Question: will T2 and T1 beds on ships (regardless of what ship it is, who cares) always offer respawn on the ship? Here's a good place to start, particularly the vids referenced in the thread: https://robertsspaceindustries.com/spectrum/community/SC/forum/3/thread/medical-gameplay-tier-2-beds-and-respawn/4968751 Backstory: So that we're clear, those who defend CIG against any and all naysayers or even those that just ask questions seem to hinge things on the fact that the game isn't "done" and on various extremely subjective, arbitrary, borderline silly conclusions drawn from little random bits and bobs in various ISC vids. here's where this subject, however, really started to go awry.. yours truly, but not just me, presented examples such as footage of a dev using plain english to say that the 600i (again, mostly serving as example) will be getting the tier2 bed. Issue #1: for some reason, strangely abstract comments made by that and other CIG staff in that and other videos, wispy and vague though they were, are often cited as 'proof' that T2 beds will not always bear respawn. this of course is nonsense. burden of proof is on the plaintiff. one need not prove a negative, while we're at it. one guy was going on and on about how Lando was "nervous" about something and blahblah.. /facepalm Issue #2: really old statements made by CIG, such as those old "engineering section" pages on the RSI website, from AT LEAST 4 YEARS AGO are cited as gospel, as an invariable roadmap which portends gloom and doom.. meanwhile, devs on spectrum close ask-section threads older than several months. things change. Issue #3: being able to respawn in a ship (this isn't about ship A vs B) is a significant part of its value proposition, so if you change/remove respawn, you're really gonna piss some people off. ......Question: will T2 and T1 beds on ships always offer respawn on the ship, or are you going to change/eliminate that function at some point in the future?
