I will say I'm very excited for ToW, from when my brother and I saw it at Citcon (and were only 7 people behind the last entry to play test (so close and yet so far)) It's the kind of game mode I really want to see and bring my friends in to try because it just looks awesome! However, that being said whenever I see the devs talk about ToW it's often said that it will be used for balance on the PU because you want to see if large scale battles can be fun in the game now rather than find out when the game is closer to completion that it turned out to be not as fun as hoped. That's fair and good forward planning. My worry is that in the attempt to make ToW fun you make it action packed by having fast time to kill, fast respawns, for maximum action much like other popular and very successful faster paced games like Call of Duty and Battlefield but then using that to balance the PU and making it faster paced as well. I don't believe fast action will work with Death of a Spaceman because if people are encouraged to jump around corners and sprint everywhere because they can spawn back quickly and get kills quickly it immediately makes it a bad test bed for the PU where you need to care about your character as dying comes at very high costs, and you won't respawn back in the action but at a hospital. Is this being taken into account? And if it is how important is it to the balances and changes being made to ToW?
