Freedom of flight. FYI, the first time I played this form of graphical catastrophe was when I had a commodore 64. Excellent in ITS time. 1) City beautification as stated - Can't see so mindless point 2) Ships are already well indicated as are landing locations - Landing splines have literally zero effect on this 3) The SC universe is huge - No way in hell you will have more than 10 people in any given location. With the exception of events of which splines haven't yet been useful to the point. - The opening of said server to larger bandwidths wouldn't change the fact that you would have to be on rails to play. You can't stop traffic in a tunnel. - Billions of people drive cars daily. I don't see jackasses causing error to traffic intentionally and more specifically not in flight. The occasional situation does not count - So far you've provided zero reason to hang out at ANY ground location other than dropping off loot that will inevitably shift to space station cargo pods 4) The advent of NPC ships - The density requirement would have to be dramatic and thus nullifying the absent use of collision boxes as the entire planet is wrapped in a barrier as is. - Completely pointless to indicate every ship in any space if there are 1000's of NPCS and highlighting players at this point would further reduce the practicality of this - At this point there wouldn't be ANY location in any space that would warrant anything OTHER than a green box to fly through 5) Game hardware requirements are prohibitive to a large population of players - Who's your target audience and why would anyone with a decent computer NEED this? - So far all I hear is its for beauty and starports of which makes zero sense to the purpose of this 6) QT splines dont' work as is in certain approaches (This has killed me more times than anything I've done or yet to do. I can't even state the amount of time AND money I've lost to this.) - A QOL issue that won't be fixed with an ADDITION to the game that has ZERO value. 7) Aliens Movie - where the landscape is in a 3d HUD because they can't see a damn thing. Remove this really useless feature. NOBODY will fault you for it.
