Part #1 To: Imperator Leylani Addison My long journey to evaluate the systems is finally over and I may submit this report to you. Normally my reports have been short and to the point, but this one seemed more appropriate to write as a letter. My journey has been a costly one, I have lost far more than I ever expected. I have learned more than I ever wanted to. I am deeply and truly saddened by the reality in which we all now live. There are threats in the universe far more dangerous and devastating, than simple differences that our cultures and civilizations are able to grasp. Too many generally good people are focused on their own short term issues, and the bigger picture is far too often lost in the name of a needless fight. Our collective civilizations are rotting from within while the danger keeps growing quietly all around us. The absolute worst part is, nobody is willing to believe it until they see it for themselves. When the danger is this destructive, the few that manage to get out alive with their souls intact, are dismissed as fear-mongers and fools, until the threat appears and it is far too late to do anything. My travels have taken me to the edges of known space and beyond. During this time, I have made friendships with people from different species all over the universe. Sadly, I have lost so very much during this process. I lost 3 people I called my best friends, back to back during my journey. I lost both parents while I was out in my travels and I never got to say goodbye. I watched as my love, whom I proposed marriage to, became schizophrenic and was hospitalized; then she called off the engagement, and finally stabbed me before moving to a different system entirely to suffer in a whole new way. I spent years being abused by the multitude of systems that the former Imperator set up for the purposes and ideals of capitalist gain and destruction of democratic integrity. I was sold off as a slave by my own government and educational institution within the UEE and was forced to pay to have “the privilege” of unpaid employment. For this privilege, I was repeatedly locked in a mobile facility where I was not permitted to leave for 3 months at a time. When I finished my “Privileged” contract, I was then told that the employment which I was forcefully volunteering my time for, was now opened up by our government to permit foreign-government based employee labour to flood my system with inadequately trained employees at a drastically reduced cost to the employers, so when I finished my personally paid-for and volunteered privilege of employment, there was no longer any UEE companies hiring properly trained employees. I became unhealthy and seriously ill due to the standards of living while performing my duties during this process. On top of this, the government created a system where certification was not based on effort or facts or grades or even how much work was performed and the quality of the work, but on the momentary opinions and attitudes of an examiner whom unfairly pre-judged everyone that applied for the exam as incompetent and inexperienced, so regardless of the accuracy within the questions of the exam, they were guaranteed to fail with no valid explanation as to why. Then our governing bodies created an intentional entrapment program, where they legalized intoxicating substances claiming that they were safe for public use, but then labeled anyone whom tried these substances as addicted people that needed to pay the government for rehabilitation, prior to those people gaining permission for employment. After this I was informed that the certification which I was sold off as a slave to obtain was now invalidated due to the time spent trying to achieve the certification in a system which was detrimentally impacted by the government that was supposed to protect it. We here in the UEE, claim to have above par standards, and that our systems are designed to protect people, but from my experience the opposite is true. We are only creating systems, that protect and benefit the systems, not the people trying to live within them. We didn’t abolish slavery, we just redefined it, and then forgot about it. We don’t have systems that truly protect the employees, but we do have systems that are carefully designed to protect the assets of the companies that offer employment. We didn’t eliminate discrimination, but we did carefully create a sub-culture where self-righteous and xenophobic ideals, that are reinforced by constant barrages of false information that is actively spread to the public, have over 1/3 of our population convinced that it is the other guys fault that they cannot build a life for themselves; rather than look at the intentional design flaws within the governing system. We didn’t eliminate Fascism, we created an educational system where the children are intentionally taught only the local history; and the lack of galactic wide historical knowledge being taught to our children resulted in the return of Fascism as well as Socialism and Communism to devastate the functioning democratic processes again and again. We didn’t eliminate cultural insensitivity, we created a counter-culture that permits abuse against all people whom try to show their admiration for cultural ideals different from their own. We didn’t even deal with religious tolerance properly, instead we created systems that protect the rights to worship, but without the responsibility of understanding the most common similarities between most religions that exist today. We didn’t eliminate the needs of starving and malnourished people, instead we managed to pretend the problem didn’t exist while we reclassified the forms of food we eat; then we allowed our surplus of food reserves, as well as our viable lands for crop development, drop at a phenomenally detrimental rate. In over 1000 years we never even dealt with pollution issues appropriately, instead we decided to ignore recycling concepts entirely and allow our easily convertible waste to slowly be absorbed into the stars themselves. We also failed at our attempts to prevent abuse between people, instead we created systems, where the people with the most financial resources, or the most understanding of systematic process, would succeed in continuing their abuse towards others without any problems. We didn’t just recently discover the Vanduul threat, we unintentionally created it by not understanding their distinct cultural differences prior to sending a perceived invasion force into their space under the misguided label of exploratory rights. We keep making the same mistake over and over again. We think we have rights that are really privileges with responsibilities. We constantly ignore most perspectives that are far different than our own, because the effort to do proper research and create a proper understanding is not as convenient as righteously pushing forward with our “beliefs” because we were never directly told that our “ideals” could possibly be wrong. And until the problems we are truly facing, are directly in front of us in this very moment, it usually doesn’t exist because change is classified as inconvenient rather than necessary. Each of us is in so much constant physical and emotional pain that we are no longer able to see any perspectives aside from our own. We lash out in defense of ourselves and we end up hurting the people we love the most by accident. In the end, it seems as though we don’t have the energy or willpower to try and make it right, the way things should be. We are so busy trying to find ways to blame other people for our decisions, that we forget that we have a responsibility to protect the people in the future from experiencing the same pain and suffering that we do. And the cycle continues to repeat itself. The end result is that, even though we have a functional judiciary process, we have created a disgraceful society where people are able to claim they are victimized, and are then permitted to attack those that wronged them; rather than demand that they must also mandatorily become part of the team that is going to provide solutions to correct the problems that made the issue in the first place. When everyone is looking out for just themselves, nobody is looking out for the people in the future that will continue to be affected by the problems. To be continued with Part #2
