Around the world for years there have been observances of April 12 as Space Day/Yuri's Night. April 12 was the date of the first human launched into space in 1961 (Vostok-1) and the first spaceplane launch in 1981 (Space Shuttle Columbia). Since Space Day and Yuri's Night parties have been a thing in real life for years: https://www.un.org/en/observances/human-spaceflight-day https://yurisnight.net I and many others think it would be wonderful to add April 12 officially to Star Citizen's lore calendar as the end of "Space Month" would start with Stella Fortuna and ends with Yuri's Night. In the past I've arranged a pub crawl for Yuri's Night in Star Citizen. We packed the server and had a great time socializing. Unfortunately, I've been too overwhelmed with work to hold an official party in Star Citizen this year but I hope to help organize another one for Yuri's Night 2952. It would be wonderful to have Yuri's Night parties officially in the 'verse lore as the ending of a grand space themed month which starts with Stella Fortuna. Or perhaps just add Space Day/Yuri's Night as April 12 on its own without the "Space Month" idea? So... how about it CIG Lore team?
