Using a whole division makes it clear it’s a 24/7 continual operation. I feel like this puts the private sector explorers in competition with their own government. Is this constant naval operation just looking for strategic advantages and jump points, or does this include general exploration too? Is the NED attempting to look for the Krell System? Has the NED long given up on looking for the long lost jump point to the Oretani Sys? Why doesn’t the navy just pay contractors to do the work? All of this makes me wonder that once something is found, the High Command plans to keep it a state secret. With that said, I wonder how many “undiscovered” jump points are out there that the navy is actively using, unbeknownst to the taxpayer taking the long route? April 15th edit: I‘m now finding out that there is a UEEN Pathfinders Division. I take it that this is the new name for the Exploratory Division, or are they two different divisions?
