Imagine, I am flying in my ship through empty space somewhere. Zero gravity, total vacuum around, ship is travelling at a significant speed. Imagine, I open a hatch and throw some random object out of my ship, in a direction perpendicular to the ship flight axis. For testing purposes, let me myself be that object: I just open the side or bottom hatch of my ship and step out of it. In the real world, upon that, I would find myself hanging in empty space aside of my ship, probably slowly drifting away from it, and in the same time flying together with my ship along this ship's flight path at the ship's flight speed. In StarCitizen, in the same situation, I find myself left behind in space, while my ship flies away from me following its flight path. Why is that? Where is immersive physics? Why does not my body keep the speed of my ship upon leaving it? Any plans to fix that? A space sim is impossible without realistic physics, and this is a significant immersion-breaking breach thereof. P.S. To clarify my point: in the above example my ship was neither accelerating nor deccelerating: it was traveling at a constant speed along a straight line.
