If you have conversations being had at events that only host a tiny fraction of the overall player base, please relay this information to the rest of us at your earliest availability. The state of the game is currently...not good. And if we're truly talking about BOUGHT parts no longer being insurable (watch the video), I've got a HUGE problem with that, and I know many more will too. The game is already tedious. Buying the ship components and character gear that you actually want, requires jumping all over the entire system. You think it's bad now that people most often run around in the free white suit? Think about what people are going to do if the only components that players keep on their ship are the stock. The stock components SUCK! How is this game going to survive if the only way to optimize your ship is to buy all the best components you can buy, so that you can go loot the best components you can loot, but then you end up getting massacred by a team of some dude flying a Carrack and another that kamikazes you with their Pisces? The Pisces dude rezzes back in the Carrack's med bay and then they happily loot all your best components/gear and you're sitting there back in the hospital starting from square one. At what point are people going to realize that excessive realism, over-simulation is just not fun and more tedious than anything else? Now if I'm wrong about any of this, please let me know by answering the following: 1. Are bought components going to be able to be insured in the future? 2. Is there truly no way to insure looted parts (future state)? I really hate when I have to take hiatuses from this game because that always seems to be when bad decisions get made and then I'm just one small voice in a sea of people that play this game too often(have all the best stuff) and can't wait to use this to their advantage. It's what I like to call a top heavy game. And they only exist for the top players to play while everyone else comes and then quickly leaves because there's no point in even attempting to compete with the top players. Me, I've already spent way too much money on this game. So if you guys pull this crap on us, I'm definitely going to be the guy with the Carrack and Pisces.
