Considering in the latest post by CR himself, he said piracy is infact in game. Yet as much as pirates try to conduct piracy it comes down to one thing - profit or lack of it. Where is the profit? For piracy we can stop players, communicate with players, we can board and take ships carry valuable cargo, and exchange credits easily now. But, now this is a big BUT - how can we sell cargo to profit from our adventures in piracy? The thing is we can not sell cargo, according to the devs its permissions that is the reason why we can not sell cargo from someone else's ship. So here is the question for the devs that are in the know about this sort of thing, With everything that has been done to date, why hasn't this pesky permission thing been sorted out yet? With 3.11 and introduction of cargo decks - we were hoping for functionality (at the very least basic offloading of cargo) but its a non-functional area for the time being. With piracy being a true multi-crew experience, being paid 10 or 20k aUEC to split amongst 5-8 crewmates is abysmal. We pirate for the experience at the moment however it would be extremely more exciting when we can actually make some bank. The videos attached shows the type of piracy we are doing in the verse - we are not being paid 98% of the time and all we ask is a way to sell cargo from ships. We are wanting to move toward boarding operations as this is seen as more traditional piracy in the eyes of some. Time and time again we have asked since 3.0 for the ability to sell cargo but no straight answer because it gets side tracked or half answered - this is the very last thing to make gameplay in the verse explode with other gameplay loops - not just for pirates but for security, merc, bounty hunter and trader orgs. I know of many other orgs and pirates that are just waiting for this to come in as well, so I would appreciate any sort of insight from a dev on this subject.
