Hey, Between myself and a buddy we have both mined the hathor cave well over a dozen times at this point, I have also mined the cave on the PTU (4.3), we have collectively gathered over 1000 carinite (average around 90 per cave) We have tried both with (made negligable difference) and without mining gadgets. Neither of us have seen even a single piece of pure carinite yet. There also seems to be hardly any for sale, even UEX has none, and any pure carinite that does appear sells very quickly often for prices in excess of 20m or more. If that is the intended rarity and that multiple people investing dozens of hours into a game loop should not expect to find any pure carinite, that makes ships that require it from wikelo absolutely not worth the time and/or investment at all. The MISC Fortune for example requires 1 piece of pure carinite and 6 favour to "craft", at current market rates that's 26-36 million auec for a skin, the grade a civilian components are all available in game for a fraction of the cost. The next major ships that require pure caranite are the RSI Zeus CL (2 pure carinite, 30 favor, 15 ace helmets and some standard carinite) , collectively worth in excess of 85 million auec, the components again are civilian/industrial and available in game for a fraction of the price. You are paying 79 million for a unique skin, the ship itself can be bought in game for 6 million. Then we have the Starlancer MAX and Taurus, both ships of a similar class, both requiring pure carinite, along with a multitude of other valuable commodities, both costing in excess of 150 million auec in commodities, both ships are available in game for roughly 5% of the cost. At least the taurus comes with rarer lootable only grade a military components, but even then it would cost a fraction of the amount to buy the ship and the components in comparison to the wikelo contract. Last patch 4.2, I helped my buddy gather everything needed for the wikelo polaris, with the goal of doing the same for myself in 4.2.1, little did I know how rare pure carinite would be. I have gathered every other item required for it, except the pure caranite, and low and behold not only have CIG increased the cost again in 4.3, but they have also added another stupidly rare item to that list making the wikelo polaris basically impossible to get now. I'll be absolutely shocked if anyone has got a wikelo polaris since patch 4.2.
