If Spider is the face of piracy in the galaxy, Pyro is unquestionably the beating heart. An otherwise desolate, lifeless star system crippled by a flare star, Pyro is most notably the home of the shared pirate outpost of Ruin Station. Like Spider, Pyro is a case of pirates filling (and expanding upon) a void left when the system was abandoned by civilized developers; unlike Spider, Pyro’s station has not settled into an orderly system of black market commerce. Instead, opposing packs constantly struggle for control. https://robertsspaceindustries.com/comm-link/spectrum-dispatch/13852-Galactic-Guide-Pyro-System I will refer to this information multiple times. Hello, I decided to create this thread about Pyro, because I think that it is not just a space system, but a possible extension of the game and the gameplay. Stanton Stanton is peaceful and secured system. You can enjoy mining (standard resources), cargo runs (5-10% profit), some missions (2-10k aUEC). "Security" Comm Arrays work on all points of interests. So you can make some money in relative safety. In Stanton tons of non-pvp players can just play and enjoy, they can make screenshots, some money or whatever they want, even just voice chatting and etc., Pyro My suggestions If you want to speed up money making you can choose unsafe PYRO system. So here you find not multiple, but one cave full of some sort of expensive resources (exmpl. Hadanite. In lore "the difficulty of finding transportable resources") Here you can find just one-two zones full of quantanium, but the stock is running out quickly (Tick rate for asteroids\stones spawn. In lore "same as before" UEE and mega-corporations not intersted in such a low amount of resources) And of course "illegal" hydrofarms with "illegal" plants for cargo runs (UEE and mega-corporations not intersted in illegal resources). What we need it's money related points of interests. Otherwise, we will have three groups of players who do not understand each other. PvP players which just want to pvp-ing, without reason, but they can't find anyone to kill but Players from group 3. Players who want to play and can PvP if there's the reason, or some sort of profit. Or if there's 0 profit they will just masterfully avoid any fights. Players who are not intersting in 1. and 2. (Stanton community) "To make some gameplay" - active players should compete with each other due to profit (which is up to three times must be more profitable than in Stanton). In Pyro you can find Bounty Hunter gameplay, but not as it works now in Stanton. Without Comm Arrays you need to scan everyone to check \ match them with the Advocacy database. And of course you need to deliver hunted "bodies" to a specific location, maybe Advocacy Hidden Branch (station?), or something. On the other hand syndicates will give very big rewards for the heads of the most active Bounty Hunters (20,000 aUEC or more of course). We need mineable (1st person) resources inside huge caves. So here's the battle between players groups in FPS mode. Content for ORGs and communities. Pirate hubs for buy/sell cargo runs (neon, widow etc.,) UEE branch for Bounty Hunters, to deliver hunted bodies. Few, or even 1-2 spawn zones, few points of "pvp" interests. Many anomalies (restricting ships) like 10 minutes magnetic storms from Pyro Star (every 2 hours). Blocking of QD, shields, weapons etc., Make gameplay more random. May be we already need to extend server to 200 players? 100 for each system? We have very little information about PYRO (not related to lore). So, and what CIG are plannig for PYRO? Some mission chains and quests, atmosphere of piracy and crime, equipment etc., ? What it should be in the vision of CIG? Role Play area for a couple of players because it's not about profit? I think it's not the freedom, we can create some sort of good gameplay without complicated scenarios. I started writing this post before they released the "Calling All Devs - Player vs. Player" video; and corrected this thread a little.)
