So this could relate to a lore question but I'm interested in Quantum travel. The First Quantum Drive that was created reached 1/10th the speed of light and the technology was later improved to allow smaller ships to travel further and faster. Later the drives were built bigger and were able to get larger ships to travel at Quantum. When the Jump Points were discovered which opened the cosmos to explorers, was more advanced space propulsion stopped? If it wasn't for the Jump points would Humans and other Alien races be still in their home systems until some new form of faster-than-light travel could be invented, or a hyperdrive tech? It also brings into question, are jump points a naturally occurring phenomenon. (Which I think they are) Or have they been built?
