what you demoed in ISC looks amazing! can't wait to check it out! one thing you mentioned was procedural generation of these facilities. as that's the goal. i am curious about the individual components being designed (elevators, doors, windows, etc) that you are using to build these rapidly with the procedural generation. if i understand how it works correctly, you and the rest of the teams will design the components that will be put together to create variations in the facilities as they're made. much like the in-game bunkers we have currently. kind of like in the USA we have urban areas where you can buy a house that's all your own, but you can only pick from 3-5 models with ever so slight variations. so my question... are you looking to diversify the components that make up the larger structure? by diversify i'm talking about making the facilities look like they belong in the planetary system that they'll reside in. really what i'm asking is will all underground facilities look and feel more or less the same as far as architectural aesthetics, but with minor/major differences in layout and design? that's what we have currently in game with bunkers. is this just the plan to preserve developer-power for other aspects of the game? or maybe this is a "for now" kind of deal? just curious. either way i'm super excited to go check them out "soon" TM. hahaha thanks John! keep up the amazing work and pass along my thanks to your team for working on this!
