I just want some answers to some flaws discovered in-game when radar and aim assist changes come in-game. The Perseus (s5 ship) has a main armament of s8 that can shoot at long range of 5580 meters (in 4.8 now even 9703 meters), but only have an s2 Radar that gives u an aim assist range of 1820 meters standard loadout (A grade max 2184 meters) The Idris (s6 ship) have its s7 IFR-BC7 turret with the S7 Conqueror-7 that can shoot 4496 meters (in 4.8 now even 9097 meters) , have an s3 Radar that gives u an aim assist range of 3380 meters standard loadout (A grade max 4056 meters) The Polaris (s6 ship) has its s5 manned turret with the s6 Maris Cannon that can shoot 4895 meters (in 4.8 now even 5004 meters), but THE POLARIS has an ?? s4 ?? Radar that gives u an aim assist range of 4830 meters standard loadout The Hammerhead (s5 ship) with 6 turret with the s4 repeaters that can shoot a max of 3006 meters (in 4.8 now even 2246 meters), but have an s3 Radar that gives u an aim assist range of 3380 meters standard loadout (A grade max 4056 meters) The Perseus is my main problem, it's not capable of utilizing its potential at its slightest. Only being able to take flight into the range around 1820 meters is poor for its performance. Where other ships like the Polaris and the Idris get bigger aim assist for all their turrets and PDC outperform and can even damage due to the aim assist, the Perseus is a direct enemy to those ships at a roughly double the engaging distance (1820 m to 3380 m). The Polaris even has 2.5 times the range (1820m to 4830m) of the Perseus. Even the Hammerhead has an S3 radar, which gives it a massive advantage over the Perseus, but both ships are about S5 ships, so why the difference in the radar capabilities? how will that be addressed so that the perseus competes at an fair point with the other ships (getting a bigger Radar or a aim assist range modifier for the main guns) I'll take a wild guess here and will say that the new upcoming Tubiron also will get a bigger radar than the Perseus, which will get the Perseus obsolete because it has a main laser beam that can get fired without a need of a pip because it's a hitscan weapon, and its 4 massive cannon turrets will get up to 4056 m of aim assist. That is more than what the Perseus in that stage of the game can and will achieve. I am sorry to say it might be the fault of the latest iteration of the radar changes, but in my eyes it's clearly what CIG is trying to tell us here. Buy the ships when they come out, every last ship that is coming will always be better in performance than the previous ones. That will get CIG into a death spiral where the power creep ships will come soon. I am sorry for all Perseus owners that paid 800 USD out there that love the dream of flying a little Bismarck into the battle like the new tactical strike groups, but it's nearly useless when the tubiron comes in-game.
