Main Question: Is there any confirmation on a rework of the Reclaimer Salvage ship? Since the cargo rework, it has become almost unbearable to work with the Reclaimer. After the 600i rework a lot of Reclaimer owners are hoping for the long awaited rework this ship desperately needs. Im not gonna lie, it hurts a little to see all new ships get all the attention when pledges that are 10 years old still have polygons in some places as interior. The Reclaimer was envisioned before salvage was even a thing and the conceptart clearly shows this. A lot of features and interiour are non functional or wasted space. The recently upped cargospace from 180 to 420 is a good beginning and shows how neglected the Reclaimer was. I made a list with some features i'd like to see reworked soon, the comming changes like engineering and maelstrom in mind: ESSENTIAL: -Front elevator size increase: This is not a 1 crew ship, so why only have space in the front elevator for one? Id Like to see something like the Constellation Taurus has. (TLDR: The front elevator is bugged RN and you fall through) -Airlock Update: The Reclaimer still has old airlocks which means you cant dock at any Space station. The extreme size also means you can only retrive this ship at 4 locations in the entire game. -Salvage Hall <-> Cargo room access: Since the Salvage Hall has limited capacity it should be possible to have direct access to the cargo room whitout the need to use the elevator. Right now you have to put the crates in the elevator, go lower one deck and store it there. I dont even want to talk about unloading vie elevator.. -Rear Torso Ramp: The relatively small cargolift the Reclaimer has makes it a pain to load/unload Cargo. There needs to be a way to access the cargohold and Salvage Hall with a vehicle, not just for realisms sake. -Cargo Grid size: The current cargo grid in the Salvage Hall makes no sense to me, as youre not able to store the produced big RMC container sizes. In my opinion, it should atleast support the printable sizes so every gridspace is properly used at a even number. -Access whitout the Elevator: The better half of the ship is not accessible whitout the elevator. That makes right now not as much of a difference, but will when engineering comes into play and you suddenly have no power anymore. NICE TO HAVE: -Medical Bay: Since the Reclaimer is layed out as a lone ship that flies out to the nirvana to salvage ships a medical bay would make sense as there might be no immediate medical care in the vicinity. -Pilot Weapons: The Reclaimer is one of the only ships where the pilot has no weapons at all. I think it should be fair that every ship has atleast something small the pilot can use to defend themself. -Salvage Hall/Balcony rework: The concept art shows, that the Reclaimer was meant to load ships into the Salvage Hall to disassemble. Since this is not how salvage now works after its implementation, it makes no sense anymore to have a Salvage hall and Salvage Balcony. I will add a picture just to show how much of the space is wasted for mechanics that will never exist in game. In addition to that, I also share a picture with a possibility of the used interiour space i drew in 10min in paint.
