Ohk so i won't go too much into how much i hate quantum space magic regen tech, how it is an utterly immersion breaking, unnecessarily complicated ridiculous solution to a problem that never existed (seriously just go with no player death is permanent because of the wonders of future medical tech, roll dice - head shot death equals eye patch/cybernetic eye, leg blown off equals robo-leg, falls into star - roll dice again for multiple random injuries. NPC's can still die, coz hey they aren't the hero's and villains in our game, we are. If anyone asks how we survived.....search and rescue found us, problem solved. Then determine how many major injuries results in permadeath much like the original death of a space man described), and lets just conveniently ignore the billion moral, ethical and legal ramifications of suddenly anyone in the empire with 50 bucks now having 9 lives but weirdly psychosomatic injuries from regens. In the regen loremakers guide it was stated "Outlaws will sometimes refer to “wiping” someone out as killing them in a manner that will stop them from regenerating. Also can be referred to as “ghosting.” " Now ignoring the fact that I'm shaking my head because CIG created a whole bunch of new feature creep, tech, lore, quantum bandaid space magic to fix a problem that never existed, how would this work? are these methods available to players? While i think there is absolutely a need for permadeath for both players(as per the original death of a space man plan) and npc's wouldn't this mechanic break the whole point of quantum magic bandaids? or is it something ridiculous ie: ya gotta kill them with a magic quantum defragulator and then throw their body into a black hole, which if that is the case how would it be common enough to have slang regarding it?
