Hello CIG Dev Team, I hope the Dev Team is doing well. I thought it was necessary to have to get a joystick to enjoy the freedom of 3D flight, since controls with the mouse is limited to "pointing". However, after a community member let me try the SpaceMouse, my entire perception of 3D spaceflight COMPLETELY CHANGED! Recently, a member of the Star Citizen community introduced me to a 3D mouse. Specifically, the "SpaceMouse" by 3DConnexion. 3D Connexion's Official Homepage: https://www.3dconnexion.com I thought it was necessary to have to get a joystick to enjoy the freedom of 3D flight, since controls with the mouse is limited to "pointing". However, after this community member let me try the SpaceMouse, my entire perspetion of 3D spaceflight COMPLETELY CHANGED! Flying in space with a 3D Mouse is AMAZING!! I love the precise, smooth movement of the 3D mouse. And I can easily access all the different directions with just this simple-looking, but sophisticated device. This is the first time I realized the "freedom" and enjoyment of 3D space flight for the first time! Director Mode was also made so much more simple to use and beautiful to film. However, in order to use 3DConnexion's SpaceMouse, Star Citizen does not natively support the device. I had to go through several confusing steps to install some 3rd party software to get it to work with the game. As for my dev question, "What is involved in supporting a new peripheral for Star Citizen"? I would REALLY LOVE the Dev Team if you could spend some time to support 3D Connexion's SpaceMouse out of the box. Cheers, Samsonator
