One of the biggest reasons, as a more recent (last year) backer, I actually decided to back Star Citizen was because progress was being made AND you were very open about what you were working on and had a good road map for the project going forward. You earned Trust for actually making stuff you said you were making and showing where you wanted to make going forward. That was awesome. Easily one of the best developers in the industry despite set backs, delays and other issues. That alone made you stand tall over the rest. I also know and understand development is questionable and small things can and likely will continue to cause large delays. I cannot fault anybody at CIG for that. People, who are not familiar with how development works can get overly salty. I can also get how being the target of said salt can frustrating or infuriating. New crowd of pitch forks every quarter because of changes to the road map can get old and could make it where you might not want to open yourself up about it. That said, the communication and the openness that CIG has been known for seems to be massively slipping. As of writing, 5/10, we are now about a month and a half away from the end of Q2 and we can ONLY see what is slated for Q2? At some point, when you start taking details away, it stops becoming a road map and becomes an Update info. The openness that I brag to my friend on your behalf about is gone. We are IN Q2. We should at least be seeing plans for Q3, if not Q4. Is a year to far out? yeah. I think for it to be considered a road map, it would need 6 months worth of info, even if tentative. This helps us get an idea of what you all are wanting to accomplish and what to get excited about. I do not mind being disappointed and I don't think you should let a few vocal minority and media outlets get to you to stop doing what we in the Star Citizen community was so proud of you for. Please focus some effort a bit higher priority than you currently have to keep us up to date on at least the next quarter if not 2. Please. This, when compared to how awesome you all have been in the past, feels like silence. Many people who I have talked to feel very similar. We kind of feel abandoned and left out in the cold. I know you have NO obligation to share info nor do you have any requirement just because we gave you money. That said, to pull a 180 on how you treat your community is very jarring. I really hope you find the time to return to sharing like you have in the past. Many people including myself miss it. Best of luck and keep on developing the game we all love.
